Take a Breath (working title) is an on-going and long-term documentation of my health and my relationship with hospital visits and subsequent anxiety.

I was born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and in 2018 underwent a life-saving double lung transplant. Whilst I am now well, having a serious underlying health condition and everything that goes with it can be difficult to deal with and i’ve been using my camera not only to document aspects of living with CF but also to help deal with how anxious I get when visiting hospitals for appointments.

When I look through the viewfinder I can enter a flow state which takes me away from wherever I am. Its very powerful tool in dealing with anxiety and something I will continue to do.
